Are you ready?

A natural disaster, communicable disease pandemic or act of biological or chemical terrorism can happen at any time and could overload the capacity of our first responders, putting our communities and citizens at risk.

Each of us has a role to play in being prepared for such emergencies. Are you ready to help yourself and your family—and others—should disaster or a regional emergency strike?

CERT

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills. CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help.

MRC - Medical Reserve

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) organizes and utilizes public health and medical volunteers. These volunteers prepare for and respond to emergencies and act as a support to existing public health and emergency resources. Retired professionals, who have maintained their credentials, and would be available during disaster, are especially needed.

Be a Volunteer

In a time of crisis - whether a
natural disaster, biological or
chemical terrorism,
or communicable disease outbreak - volunteers are needed to serve
many roles.
